Joe's Coordinate Bracelet - The story

Joe’s custom coordinate bracelet was actually the inspiration behind Life Less Ordinary. I looked high and low for a thoughtful, travel inspired second wedding anniversary gift but couldn’t find anything cotton (the traditional material for a second anniversary gift). I loved the idea of a coordinate bracelet but many of them were made of leather, metal or didn’t have the travel bracelet vibe I was looking for.

Now he wears one of our Life Less Ordinary coordinate bracelets (which is made of cotton even though we a few years past the cotton anniversary gift stage now!) I thought of a few ideas for what to engrave on his personalised coordinates bracelet:

The coordinates of the hotel we got married in

The coordinates of the where we had our first kiss

The coordinates of a special beach in Mexico

To coordinates of where he proposed

But none of those places felt quite right. They didn’t feel quite ‘us’. So what is engraved on his custom coordinates bracelet? The coordinates of Brighton Beach, outside our favorite pub on the sea front.

Where we can most often be found with a gin in hand in the sunshine (or indeed even when it is not quite so sunny. We do live in the UK after all!)

When he opened it I joked that it was so if he got lost on a beach when we were travelling, people would be able to look at his coordinate bracelet and they would know where to send him back to.

Because that is where I know I will always find him.

What special place would you have engraved on your coordinate bracelet? We love hearing about the adventures our travel bracelets go on and the thoughtful ideas behind them.

Be happy,

Amie and Joe
